Add on Courses
If you require further training, courses, seminars or assistance with your course then please speak to your curriculum co-coordinator, school or to Simon Holmes.
Remember training can be everything from an additional health and safety courses through to CV writing – anything that will help you to build up your skills and experience.
Counseling
If you are experiencing any problems then you can speak to your curriculum coordinators at any time. They will be happy to discuss any issues with you and help you to get the support you need.
Student Council
With the college we have a student council which is made up of 2 students from each curriculum area.
The student council is there to represent the students and will meet regularly with the senior staff of the College. There role is to raise concerns, talk about student welfare and discuss ways in which we can improve our services to students.
Financial help - EMA’s
Information on EMA’s and other training grants are available from your curriculum coordinators, Simon Holmes or your school.
Cyber Café
The Cyber Café provides Hot and Cold Food and Drinks to the staff and students and is situated on the first floor of the College building.
Information Technology
As a student of the Wolds College you have access to laptops which can be loaned in order to complete college work. In addition, we have a fully integrated networked system, video conferencing and a wireless internet link.
Work Experience
Through our network of employers we will endeavor to find work experience placements which are specific to your requirements. Work experience will support your learning and provide you with extra experiences on top of the practical skills you learn at college.
Careers
The Wolds College aims to assist you to find the right job.
This is achieved through helping with elements such as CV writing, Interview skills and letter writing. We will also use our network of employers and trade associations to actively seek opportunities for you and point you in the right direction.
The Wolds College should be seen as a stepping stone to the world of work of to future training opportunities. The experiences you will have gained during your time with us will help to provide you with the necessary skills that employers are looking for.

Through our network of training providers such as Boston College, Build A Future and the University of Lincoln we have access to a full range of courses which follow on from your studies at the Wolds College.
